BEAVER COUNTY SPORTSMEN’S CONSERVATION CAMP  JUNE 19 to JUNE 25 2022

CONSERVATION CAMP FLYER

This includes 3 meals a day plus snacks, any program supplies and equipment, program fees, and 3 Beaver County Sportsmen’s Conservation Camp T-shirts.

Full payment is required with each application to reserve a spot at camp.

Do not send applications to your sportsmen’s club or to the league.

In order to adequately purchase supplies needed for the campers, a full refund of $200.00 will be permitted until June 5,  2022 if the camper is withdrawn from camp. After this date, refunds will be subject to approval if a camper is withdrawn from camp.

CAMPERS WILL RECEIVE A WELCOME PACKET THROUGH THE MAIL UPON APPROVAL OF APPLICATION AND PAYMENT

CABIN MATES

Due to numerous complications with multiple cabin requests, we limit your request to ONE cabin mate request.

While we will do our best to accommodate cabin mates, requests are not guaranteed.

October 26, 2019 Controlled Goose Hunt at Brady’s Run Park

2019 Youth Goose Hunt will be Oct 26, 2019.

There will be 4 blinds with up to 16 hunters. Prospective hunters need to apply at the Beaver County Ice Arena by October 15, 2019.

Each of the 16 youth hunters will be selected by drawing on October 17th at noon.
• 2019 Adult Goose Hunts will be Oct 28, Nov 1, 4, 8, 12, 15. Adults can bring up to 3 additional hunters with them.
Prospective hunters need to apply at the Beaver County Ice Arena by October 15th and will be selected by drawing on October 17th at noon.
• Blind set up date will be announced. Please consider helping out.
• HELP!!! Is the key to these hunts being successful, and we need more of that.

October 12, 2019 Pheasant Hunt at Raccoon State Park

2019 Youth Pheasant Hunt will be on Oct 12 at Raccoon State Park, Nichol Road/Doak Field. Initial registration with

• Must be a licensed junior hunter. Total number of kids will be 24 due to the limited help.
• Registration/check in at the hunt, 7:00am. Safety Briefing, 7:30am. Hunts begin at 8:00am
• Will have a sign up sheet for help at the September league meeting. It takes a minimum of 24 people to put this event
on. I need bird planters and mentors.

BRADYS RUN PARK TO HOLD CONTROLLED GOOSE HUNT

Commissioners Approve Goose Hunting at Bradys Run Lake

 BEAVER (September 4, 2018) – The Board of Commissioners and the Beaver County Recreation & Tourism Department announce plans for a controlled goose hunt to take place at the Lake at Bradys Run Park.  The dates of the goose hunt are:  October 27, 29; November 2, 5, 9, 13 & 16, 2018.  Saturday, October 27 will be for Junior Hunters only and be monitored by members of the Beaver County Sportsmen’s Conservation League.  

            The areas of the park from the Lodge to Shelter 15 will be closed to park visitors until 11 am on the dates of the hunt for safety reasons, with signs posted.  The Beaver County Sheriff’s Department will monitor traffic through the Park on the dates of the hunt. 

            The Recreation Department will hold a drawing to determine those hunters who will be permitted to hunt.  Hunters may acquire an application at the Recreation Facility/Ice Arena at Bradys Run Park. 

Applications must be completed and submitted by Monday, October 1, to be considered eligible for the hunt. 

A drawing to select the hunters will be held on Friday, October 5 at 12 noon at the Bradys Run Recreation Center. Each hunter that is drawn for a Blind will be able to bring an additional 3 friends to share the Goose Blind. There will be a separate drawing for junior hunters who wish to hunt.  The County will erect the hunting blinds where the hunters will be assigned to hunt from on a daily basis.  There will be a maximum of four hunters per blind.  All hunters must be properly licensed and must show proof of such to receive an application.  

There will be a $5 charge per hunter for administrative costs.

Family Field Day July 21, 2018

About the Event

We will have a great day of family fun. Ages of the youth can be from 9-16. Mom and Dad are encouraged to step up and try as well. We will have dog training, trapping, canoeing, Shooting of .22 pistols and rifles,archery, trap, sporting clays, Primitive living, ROTC zip lining, Turkey and Deer hunting.

Lunch will be provided as well as some fun door prizes.

Starts at 6:30 registration and begins at 8:00 until 3:00.

SECOND ANNUAL WILD PHEASANT YOUTH HUNT ANNOUNCED

For the second year in a row, 48 junior hunters will have the chance this fall to harvest wild pheasant roosters in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced the application process for the second annual Central Susquehanna Wild Pheasant Recovery Area (WPRA) youth hunt.

Junior hunters between the ages of 12 and 16 are eligible to apply, and each applicant must obtain a 2018-19 Pennsylvania junior hunting or combination license, as well as a free 2018-19 junior pheasant permit, prior to applying. Applications must be filled out online and submitted by the close of business on Friday, Aug. 3.

Applicants will be selected at random during a Aug. 17 drawing, and those who are selected for permits will be notified by Aug. 24.
